Beautiful WWII US Army 40th Division English-Made Shoulder Patch with O/D Border

ARTIFACT: Beautiful WWII US Army 40th Division fully embroidered shoulder patch. The center of the diamond shaped, English-made patch shows a yellow sun against a blue background with an olive drab border.

During WWII, the 40th Division was stationed in New Britain and moved through the Pacific Theater of Operations. The 40th received three Distinguished Unit Citations. SIZE: Approximately 3-5/8" x 3-1/4". CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Fully embroidered, cotton/silk/polyester thread. ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.
