This listing consists of a WWII Wool Uniform (Army Air Corp) It has the wool pants, Jacket, a long sleeve shirt and the hat. Found in the pocket are three patches. Two dark patches with a star and in center of star an Indian Head. I researched and found that patch was given to 2nd Infantry Division august 1, 1942. There was also a small square patch with like a yellow wreath. One is on the jacket sleeve but has a 2 in the center. Im not good at explaining as I dont know what these items are. Where I bought this the gentleman gave me this picture that he says the uniform belonged to. The name of Veteran would be John Lingerez. I believe they call the Jacket an Eisenhower or Ike Jacket.
It says L-5577 on it inside plus on tag M-1943. Not sure what any of this means. The jacket is in good shape with only a mark on bottom of sleeve that has been sewn to repair it. I thought they looked perfect but found a couple small holes to be repaired below the zipper area. The shirt is in great shape and says 15LAU04.
The hat has the round metal button of the Eagle on front. Would be perfect but notice a worn spot on top right side near rim. I have tried to get pictures of everything. In the pants back pocket is a 2 1/2 metal thing with gauze like wrapped around it. Not sure what it was used for.
I do not know what the braided material that is on the left shoulder symbolizes. This uniform is in exceptionally good shape for its age. I hope the pictures help somewhat with the description. Please see pictures I posted and thanks for looking.Feel free to ask any questions.
