US WW2 Bullion 12th Army Group Patch Cellophane FROM GERMAN TAILOR BOOK B41

From a recently acquired US WW2 direct Post War German Tailor Shop Sample Book. You get the patch in the first picture. The last 14 pictures are various pages from within the book so you can see where it came from. These were attached to the book in cellophane packaging and glued to the book. These show various styles of construction, backings, styles, so that you could choose which patch and style to order from a particular shop in Germany right after the war. In some cases, the cellophane is in pretty rough shape, and it is brittle in every case. In many cases, the bullion has transferred onto the plastic, and some of what you may see as metal pest is likely to be transfer to the cellophane rather than an issue with the patch. I will treat these gently and carefully package these to take as good of care of the cellophane as possible. In some cases, the cello is nice, solid, and complete. In other cases, it is tattered or off of the patch altogether. I have found plenty of these German made patches over the years, but very very few in cellophane, and this is one of the first actual books that i have ever found. This is a rare opportunity to own a patch with this lineage. For sale here is a 12th Army Group Patch. This was out of the cellophane and loose from the book, but a scavenged an extra piece of cello that was loose and damaged that you could add to the display.

This patch is made of red, white, blue, and black twisted cord thread. It is clean and beautiful. The patch is back in dark tan twill or whipcord. The patch is backed in white paper. I have never seen a theater made variant of this patch!
