Ww2 Us Army Air Forces / Usaaf Civilian Flight Instructor Leather Jacket Patch

This one is a bit of a mystery for me. I'm leaning towards it being a WWII-era flight jacket patch for a civilian flight instructor. Nice burgundy leather with embossed design and identification. The design is identical to WWII-era flight instruction cap badge and other insignia. Please check & enlarge all pictures as they are an important part of the item description.
