WWII Lost Battalion Sergeant US Army Unit Patches and Documentation 1944 France

WWII LOST BATTALION SERGEANT US ARMY UNIT PATCHES AND DOCUMENTATION. The 12 pictured unit patches from his 30 year career. His DD398 form showing his statement of personal history including his service with the Lost Battalion in France in 1944.

A letter sent home in November 1944 talking about his 10 day beard and having his picture taken and it maybe making the newspapers. Newspaper articles about his ordeal. These items come from the collection of Sgt. William Bandorick who served with the Lost Battalion (1st Battalion, 141st infantry, 36th division) in France during WWII. Sergeant Bandorick served in the US Army from 1928 until 1957 and saw action in WWII and the Korean War.

Bandorick won the Bronze and Silver Stars and the French Cross de Guerre among other awards. This Vintage item is a great collectible.
