This is a very nice British-made World War II Army Air Corps shoulder patch in bullion that is in excellent to near mint condition. It is beautifully hand embroidered in heavy silver and gold metallic thread with the center of the star having the red dot in red cotton material. The embroidery is very heavy giving a beautiful 3-dimensional appearance to the piece. The background is of blue felt and with stitching holes around the border from where it was once sewn to a uniform. The reverse is faced in white cheesecloth and shows the detail of the hand embroidery. The patch has survived in excellent condition and is without damage of any kind.
