Wwii U. S. Army Parachute Infantry Regiment Enlisted Overseas Cap Blue Patch

This is a fine World War II U. Army Airborne Enlisted Overseas Cap that is in excellent condition. It is constructed of quality chocolate brown wool material and piped in blue for Parachute Infantry Regiments. Sewn to the left front is a parachute cap patch that has the parachute machine embroidered in white cotton thread on a blue twill background with a heavy, white cotton thread embroidered border. The interior is lined with green satin material. The sweatband is of genuine leather and remains soft and pliable. Lightly written on the left side of the sweatband is the number,'39300978' and the name'Stewart'. Although unmarked, I would estimate the size as a 7? This is a beautiful overseas cap that is without moth holes damage and remains in excellent condition.
