WWII US Army Air Force Corps Fighter Pilot Killed Photo Uniform Group Patches 8t

This is a very neat grouping to an American WWII Hero who died while serving his country training WWII Combat Fighter Pilots at Bradley Field Windsor Conn. This vet was only 20 years old and a 2nd Lt who was chosen to stay in the US and train our boys to fight the enemy in the air. This brave young pilot died in an training airplane crash 2 months after he himself had been given his commission as 2nd Lt and got his pilot wings. The grouping includes a 8x10 Cadet glossy photo of his 1st Fighter Sqdn. Flight -A Class 43-K Foster Field, a 5x7 mat finish cadet photo, 4x10 glossy group photo 1st Fighter Sq.

5, 1943 Foster Field Tx, 2- Newspaper articles w/ Photo about his death, 3 - 4x3 photos of him with the aircraft that he was killed in with his writing on the back, 2 - WWII US Army Air Force patches. This vet was very close to his father who was a State Patrolman and there are several photos of him in uniform and a newspaper article about him as well.

There is a photo of the vet in his Lt Visor cap and A-2 leather jacket standing with his dad. This is a wonderful grouping for a WWII display.
