WWII US Army Air Force Named Ike Jacket & Cap, Patches & Ribbons
This is a standard issue wool field Ike jacket that was owned by Tech. Amphibious Engineer and was part of. He served two years overseas, participated in 4 campaigns and in an amphibious assault landing. Army logistical agency, the first on the Continent.
Upon its creation ADSEC was attached to the. And gradually took over the Communications Zone activities. The agency moved forward with the Armies and provided close support.ADSEC provided detail planning for the invasion of Normandy. This is a standard issue wool field jacket (Ike) #55-J-384-540. It is size 34 Large, it was manufactured on December. 1944 by Cancelli and Desidero. This coat is in excellent condition; it was well taken care of and has all of its original buttons and snaps.
It has no tears or fabric hooks. This is a standard issue, 100% wool cap made by Irving L. It is believed to be about a size 7 ½. It is in excellent condition. Patches & Pins on Jacket: - "US" - Enlisted Man pin (L&R lapel) - Ruptured Duck patch - Honorable Discharge (right chest).
WWII Victory Medal ribbon (left chest) - Good Conduct ribbon (left chest). 4 time European Campaign Ribbon +3 stars, and amphibious assault landing + arrow-head (left chest). ADSEC/COMZ Patch (left arm) - Tech Sergeant Fourth Grade stripes (left arm) - Two Years overseas stripes (left & right arms). Engineer Special Brigade patch (right arm). Pair of overseas sleeve stripes.Good Conduct Medal, Ribbon and Pin. Unidentified Normandy Patch (Thought to be D-Day related).
