Grouping of original WWII FREE FRENCH Forces Insignias. An original WWI Era - Free French 2nd Armored Division marked'Cartier" and "Paris, probably late war and numbered. As originals were (the bottom catch is MISSING - due to use - see last photo). This is the division that liberated Paris in August, 1944 - Measures 1-3/8 inches by 1 inch. An Original Cross of Lorraine Patch worn by the First Division - fought in Italy and Southern France. A pair -set of US trained French Forces - Shield Patches - the large for men, worn on the left shoulder of US supplied uniforms. The smaller shield was worn by female members that were US trained (medical). 2 pieces were bought in Europe.
